Construction of Andijon City project kicks off (photo)

On the territory of the “Mustakillik” mahalla in the city of Andijan, construction of the Andijon City complex has begun.

To obtain detailed information on the project presented during the President’s visit to the region, Kun.uz correspondent together with the head architect of the Andijan city Turajon Rizayev visited the “Mustakillik” mahalla, which has become the center of demolition and construction works, and got acquainted with the sketches of the Andijon City project.

Currently, owners of the old dwellings in the “Mustakillik” mahalla are moving to the state-granted two-storey cottages, located in the Khidirsha mahalla in the Khojaobod district. Photos of the project proposals for social objects, hotel and entertainment facilities have been demonstrated at the main office for the construction site.

“On the territory of 70 hectares of land, a complex of buildings embracing 12, 9, 7-storey apartments, 30-storey business center, 24-storey hotel, entertainment facility, 4-storey shopping center, Congress hall, 16-storey five-star hotel and many modern erections will be constructed” the city's head architect Turajon Rizayev said.
