This became known during the visit of governor of Kashkadarya region Murotjon Azimov to China.

“On the second day of the visit to China, the delegation headed by the regional governor Murotjon Azimov got acquainted with the activities of JAC Motors and held talks on launching the production of traditional or electric cars of the company in the city of Karshi,” the report reads.

It is noted that work is currently underway to implement a project for the production of cars in the region. The head of state instructed to establish the production of traditional or electric vehicles in the city of Karshi.

“JAC Motors has a unique reputation among Chinese automakers. The company’s vehicles are exported to more than 60 countries around the world. At a bilateral meeting with the company’s management, the delegation noted that this investment project will become the hallmark of the region in the future,” the press service of the regional administration said.

The company’s management is expected to visit Karshi in the near future. It also became known that negotiations with two more major automakers are planned during the visit.

It should be recalled that in mid-June of this year, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the development of the automotive industry in Uzbekistan.

“Pay attention to one figure: the volume of industrial production of the Asaka district is higher than the industry of 9 regions of the republic. We will invest an additional $1 billion to further develop the automotive industry. Thanks to this, in the next two years we will increase the production of cars from the current 300,000 units to 500,000 units,” he said then.

According to him, by 2030 Uzbekistan will produce 1 million cars a year.

In April, during his visit to the Syrdarya region, Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to build a new automobile plant in the region.

Later, Akmaljon Mahmudaliyev, the governor of the Syrdarya region, told Kun.uz that the necessary equipment for a car factory under the Chinese brand Exeed had been delivered to the region.
