With the draft law, the right to present digital evidence is added to the rights of witnesses (Article 66 of the Criminal Procedural Code).

In order to ensure reliable protection of personal data and to prevent the spread of such data, based on the initiatives of the deputies, Part 5 of Article 88 of the Criminal Procedural Code is being supplemented with the norm that if the evidence not related to the case remains at the disposal of the investigative body and the court, it must be irretrievably destroyed.

In Article 161 of the Criminal Procedural Code, search and seizure of personal electronic data was supplemented with Part 9 on implementation according to the law and the decision of the court.

The proposal to adopt the law in the third reading was presented and voted. The law was passed in the third reading and sent to the Senate.
