Three senior officials from Uzbekistan’s Interior Ministry have been dismissed, according to official sources. Those removed from their posts include Colonel Akhrorjon Atkhamov, Head of the Criminal Investigation Service within the MIA’s Operational-Search Department; Doniyor Tashkhojayev, First Deputy Chief of the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs; and Timur Sobirov, Head of the DIA's Organized Crime Department.

The dismissals are reportedly linked to an alleged assassination attempt on Komil Allamjonov, a former senior official in the Presidential Administration. The details surrounding the alleged incident remain undisclosed.

The MIA’s press service confirmed the removal of Colonel Akhrorjon Atkhamov from his position, marking a significant personnel change within the ministry. Similarly, Doniyor Tashkhojayev was relieved of his role as the First Deputy Chief of the Tashkent DIA.

While the ministry has yet to provide an official statement on the specific reasons behind these dismissals, sources indicate they are directly tied to the fallout from the attempted attack on Allamjonov. Further investigations and updates on the matter are anticipated.
