Centrum Air expands fleet with new Airbus A320

The newly acquired aircraft is 19 years old, with its last operator being the Cyprus-based Tus Airways.

On December 5, Centrum Air received an Airbus A320-200, which arrived at Tashkent International Airport from Athens.

According to the Planespotters.net portal, the aircraft was manufactured in Toulouse in 2005. Until 2021, it was operated by Air Malta, Sky Airline, and UK-based carriers Excel Airways and XL Airways. The most recent operator was the Cypriot airline Tus Airways.

Centrum Air highlighted that the narrow-body Airbus A320, which has a seating capacity of 180 passengers, is equipped with CFM engines known for their fuel efficiency, reliability, and reduced noise levels.

The airline also obtained certification from "Uzaviation" under the Ministry of Transport, allowing it to conduct line maintenance for Airbus family aircraft. According to Flightradar24, the new aircraft completed two flights on December 7, traveling from Tashkent to Dubai and to the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh.

Currently, Centrum Air's fleet consists of six aircraft: four Airbus A320-200s and two A321neos. The average age of the fleet exceeds 15 years.
