Uzbekistan's 18-year-old football talent joins Spanish club Leganés

According to the press service of the Tashkent club, the "Railwaymen" have transferred Lazizbek Mirzaev to the C. D. Leganés. The Leganés team is a participant in La Liga and is currently ranked 17th in the league standings.

"Lazizbek Mirzaev took his first steps in football at the Lokomotiv Football Academy under the guidance of Saydullo Tursunov. He is considered one of the most talented players in his age group in Uzbekistan. His role as captain of the Uzbekistan U17 team is no coincidence. We express our gratitude to Lazizbek Mirzaev and wish him success in his career in Spain," said a statement from Lokomotiv.

Earlier this year, Mirzaev participated in the training camps of the Spanish team, and it was reported that he would officially sign a contract with the club after turning 18 in the winter.

For reference, Lazizbek played 14 matches in the current Super League season. The Lokomotiv club he represented has been relegated to the Pro League.

It should be noted that in 2023, Mirzaev caught the attention of scouts while playing for Uzbekistan's U17 team in the Youth World Cup.
