Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit Uzbekistan
According to reports from Pakistani media, during his visit planned for February, Shehbaz Sharif is expected to propose using Karachi Port for transit trade with Uzbekistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan is set to visit Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan during the third week of February this year, The News International reported, citing its sources.
"Pakistan is strengthening relations with the Central Asian states and key countries in the Caucasus in line with its 'Vision Central Asia' policy," the report stated.
Reportedly, during his two-day visit, Shehbaz Sharif will propose using Karachi Port for transit trade with Uzbekistan and sign significant trade agreements. He will be accompanied by Pakistan's Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, several ministers, and representatives from the business community.
Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Baku is being made at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev. Several economic agreements are expected to be signed during this visit.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan had previously visited Uzbekistan in September 2022. On September 15-16, 2022, he participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit held in Samarkand.
