Technical inspection time for imported cars to be reduced to 15 minutes — UzTest

Since November 18, applications for vehicle inspections have been accepted via the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services. Slots are assigned through an electronic queue, linked to the applicant's PINFL (Personal Identification Number).

However, some applicants had been booking multiple slots for the same type of vehicle and did not show up at the testing ground at the scheduled time. This led to disruptions in the electronic queue, the center noted.

To address this issue, a new procedure will be implemented, under which only one slot in the electronic queue will be allowed per PINFL.

A new application can only be submitted after the previous slot has been used. Unused applications will be automatically deleted from the system, according to UzTest.

Additionally, by hiring additional staff, the organization plans to reduce the time for each inspection from 20 to 15 minutes. This change will allow 96 vehicles to be tested per day, up from 72.

Since November 1, the procedure for the technical inspection of vehicles imported into Uzbekistan has changed. Inspections are now conducted at the UzTest testing ground in Piskent, rather than on customs premises.

These changes have led to significant queues, with car owners reporting waiting times of several days. UzTest explained that the queues were due to "seasonality and an increase in import volume."
