President of Egypt has started his tour of Bahrain, China, Uzbekistan.

President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdul Fattah El Sisi visited Bahrain on August 30. Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa and a number of Bahraini top officials welcomed President Sisi upon his arrival at Bahrain International Airport.

This marked the start of his tour to three Asian countries.

On September 1, President Sisi headed for Beijing to attend the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which is scheduled for September 3, Presidential Spokesman, Bassam Radi, said. President Sisi was given an official reception ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Tiananmen Square by his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. During his visit the Egyptian President is expected to meet with the Chinese PM as well as representatives for major Chinese companies to discuss means of boosting investments in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Egyptian President will conclude his tour by paying a visit to Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, on September 5. This is considered the first official visit of an Egyptian president to Uzbekistan.
