Odil Akhmedov becomes the best player of Uzbekistan for the sixth time

Odil Akhmedov – a midfielder of Uzbekistan national team and FC “Shanghai SIPG” has been recognized as the best player of our country in 2018 and have renewed his record. 
 
The Uzbek footballer, 31, has achieved such honorable recognition five times (in 2009, 2011, 2014 and 2016). In addition, he ranked second (3 times) and once took the third place in the survey for the best player of the year. 
 
It should be noted that ex-players of the Uzbek national team Mirjalol Kasimov and Maksim Shatskikh have been the best players of the year in their career for four times. Also, Server Djeparov and Pavel Bugalo have had 2 such acknowledgments. 
 
Moreover, Andrei Akopyants, Valery Kechinov, Oleg Shatskikh, Sanjar Tursunov and Marat Bikmayev have been recognized as the best players of the year for one time. 
 
It is worth recalling that Odil Akhmedov became the champion of China in 2018 with FC “Shanghai SIPG”.
