Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Jizzakh region areas will be supplied with water from the Zarafshon River 

On January 31, a meeting was held in the Jizzakh region under the chairmanship of the president. It was attended by regional activists, heads of state and public organizations. 
 
During the assembly, the Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the ongoing work to improve people's livelihood, territorial landscaping. In particular, thanks to the program developed after last year’s trip, new facilities for 107 large and medium-sized investment projects were put into operation in the Jizzakh region. 
 
“The most important task for today is to attract investment and technology, create a new enterprise, provide people with work and increase their income,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 
 
It was reported that in 2019-2020, it is planned in the region to implement 586 investment projects for 21 trillion 956 billion soums, which will create over 22,300 jobs. These include projects for producing basalt fiber and devices for wind energy in Forish district, solar panels in Dustlik district, medicines in Zomin district, decorative and thin glass in Jizzakh city.  
 
In 2019, it is tasked to build 15 affordable apartments in Jizzakh city and 932 houses in the districts. 

 
Instructions have been given to continue construction of the main pipeline and a pumping station to bring water from the Zarafshon River, to build and repair 264 kilometers of water supply networks. 
 
It was noted that as a result of this work, residents of Zarbdor, Bakhmal, Pakhtakor, Mirzachul, Dustlik, Gallaorol, Sharof Rashidov districts will be provided with pure drinking water, the quality of population’s lifestyle will improve.
