50 and 100-soum banknotes withdrawn from circulation
From July 1, 50 and 100-soum coins and paper bills of the same denomination are withdrawn from circulation.
It should be reminded that in July 2018, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan reported that the 50 and 100-soum coins issued by the Bank in 2001-2002, 2004 and 2009 would be accepted until July 1, 2019 without restrictions, and those received at banks would no longer will be issued in circulation.
Also in July 2020, 200 and 500-soum notes will be withdrawn from circulation.
“50 and 100-soum notes will be in circulation until July 1, 2019. 200 and 500-soum notes will be accepted until July 1, 2020, and then will be withdrawn from circulation.
Old-style coins and banknotes can be exchanged in banks for new coins from the day they are issued. 200 and 500-soum banknotes can be exchanged in banks from July 1, 2019,” said the Central Bank then.
