Prosecutor of Namangan region resigns from office in four months

On June 30, the prosecutor of the Namangan region Rashid Rakhmatov resigned from office, Kun.uz source at the law enforcement body reports.

Rakhmatov was born in 1978. In 2004, he graduated from Tashkent State Law Institute. He began his career at the Navoi prosecutor’s office in 2004 and held various positions. Since 2009, he worked as a prosecutor, senior prosecutor of department, deputy head of department, head of department at the Prosecutor General’s Office, as well as prosecutor of the Bukhara city.

From November 2017 to November 2, 2018, he served as prosecutor of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. In accordance with the presidential decree of November 2, 2018, Rashid Rakhmatov was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General.

On March 4 of this year, Rashid Rakhmatov was appointed prosecutor of the Namangan region.

Earlier, it was reported that the prosecutor of the Namangan region Ulugbek Toshev resigned from his post “due to shortcomings in the sphere of law enforcement, early prevention of offenses, and staff-related issues”.
