Jamshid Kuchkarov resigns as Minister of Finance, Timur Ishmetov replaces him at this post
On February 24, a meeting was held in Tashkent under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.
According to Kun.uz source, during the meeting, Finance Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov resigned from his post and was appointed Minister of Economy and Industry.
Timur Ishmetov became new Minister of Finance.
Ishmetov was born in 1979. In 2000, he graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute, the University of Birmingham, and in 2007 – Tashkent State Law Institute.
In 2000-2019, he worked at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. In May 2019, he was appointed First Deputy Minister of Finance.
