Man detained in Tashkent while strolling with bag of marijuana 

Police officers of the Chinaz district in Tashkent region detained a man with a bag of marijuana, the press service of the Investigation Department under the MIA reported.

“On April 10, during an operational event, officers of the Chinaz district police department stopped a 52-year-old citizen on Amir Temur Street who looked suspicious. During the inspection of the plastic bag he was carrying in the presence of witnesses, it was found that it contained 1.055 grams of marijuana. The drug was seized in the prescribed manner,” report says.

The Investigation Department of the Chinaz district DIA filed a criminal charge on this case under Article 273, part 2, subsection “a” of the Criminal Code.
