Lockdown measures remain in force in Samarkand and Namangan regions
Given the fact that Samarkand and Namangan regions are included in the epidemiological “red” (high risk) zone, quarantine rules are not yet relaxed.
As Kun.uz correspondent reported, residents of these regions are asked to strictly follow the rules of quarantine.
During a teleconference chaired by the President on May 5, it was stated that the quarantine measures will be gradually relaxed as the epidemiological situation in the country is changing for the better. It was also decided to classify regions, districts and cities as “red” (high risk), “yellow” (medium risk) and “green” (safe) zones.
According to the decision of the regional emergency commission on April 30, quarantine rules will not be relaxed in Taylak, Akdarya, Urgut, Samarkand, Jambay districts and the city of Samarkand, as well as in some parts of the Bulungur district.
Also, due to the current epidemiological situation, Namangan region is included in the “red” zone. The information service of the Namangan city administration said.
“The majority of coronavirus infection cases throughout the region are in the city of Namangan. Therefore, the restrictions imposed in the city, including the requirement to drive only at certain hours of the day without special stickers, will remain in force. Given the fact that Namangan is classified epidemiologically as a “red” zone, quarantine rules will not be relaxed,” the report reads.
