Uzbekistan has purchased 1,300 oxygen concentrators, 20 PCR test kits and antiviral medicines from China, the Uzbekistan24 TV channel reports.
“It is noted that at the same time, as the virus spreads among the population of the country, the demand for oxygen is growing sharply. Therefore, measures are being taken to deliver anti-coronavirus medical equipment to the country as soon as possible.
Reportedly, the necessary equipment imported from China has been handed over to the Ministry of Health. The ministry distributes them based on the needs of the regions.
According to the organizers, this is the first shipment, and soon the same amount of medical equipment will be brought to the country.
It should be recalled that at a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 20, the Prime Minister was instructed to deliver oxygen concentrators and pulse oximeters to the country as soon as possible.
It was noted that a special aircraft should be allocated for this purpose, and measures should be taken to facilitate the import of oxygen concentrators by entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.
