People complain about power and gas outages at the Senate meeting. The Chairperson promises to solve the problem
On November 20, the ninth plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis was held in Tashkent. The event was broadcast live on YouTube.
According to Kun.uz correspondent, during the translation, thousands of users complained about power and natural gas outages.
One user asked whether or not senators were paying attention to media and bloggers’ publications about these unplanned interruptions.
Another individual added that despite all the measures taken, the number of poor people in Uzbekistan was increasing.
Practically all users were writing “no gas, no light”. One man wrote that while he was watching Senate sessions online, the power was cut at least 10 times.
Interruptions in the supply of electricity and gas to consumers were also reported by a senator from the Samarkand region.
The Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva expressed her opinion on this.
“I am watching the online session too, and I see comments. Many people ask when gas and electricity problems will be solved. I promise that the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms will certainly look into this matter. We do not have a separate committee on gas and electricity supply. If necessary, we will present the reports of the ministers responsible for this on the plenary session,” she said.
