As the number of coronavirus patients is increasing daily, Tashkent has started opening distribution centers in large shopping malls.

Earlier, a member of the Anti-COVID staff, Sevara Ubaydullayeva, told when Uzbekistan would introduce strict quarantine rules.
“Coronavirus cases are increasing but there are certain requirements for tightening the quarantine regulations. It requires a calculation of the average number of patients, medical institutions, and resources, and if the indicators exceed the established standards, then strict quarantine rules will be introduced,” she said then.
Nurmat Otabekov, deputy head of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, also expressed his opinion about the possibility of introducing a strict lockdown.
He stressed that strict quarantine regulations will help take control of the situation, but some residents may not be prepared for it economically.
