Uzbekistan suspends air traffic with 10 countries
The Special Republican Commission has adopted a decision to suspend air traffic with 10 countries to prevent the entry of the “omicron” strain of coronavirus into Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the decision, from December 3 to January 10, 2022, citizens of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar, Lesotho, Eswatini, Tanzania and Hong Kong, those who have been to these countries in the last 14 days will not be permitted to enter Uzbekistan. All inbound, outbound and transit flights will be cancelled.
Responsible ministries and departments can make proposals on the gradual resumption of international flights after studying the epidemiological situation in these countries.
