Pseudo-employee of PGO detained in Tashkent (video)
The detainee made for himself an official ID card of the General Prosecutor’s Office and presented himself as the head of the department for supervision over implementation of legislation in the internal affairs bodies.
Law enforcement officers found out that a 40-year-old resident of Andijan committed many fraudulent acts with a fake ID of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Investigation Department reported.
For example, the pseudo-officer of justice drove in the capital’s Bektemir district ignoring the red traffic light. The lawbreaker told the traffic police officer who stopped him that he worked in a higher authority, showing in a rude form his fake service certificate.
After this incident, a pre-trial check was launched against the false justice officer. The inspection showed that in June last year, a 40-year-old resident of Andijan turned to a friend from Moscow, who in 3 days made him a fake official ID of the Prosecutor General’s Office. After that, the fraudster introduced himself to everyone as the head of the department for supervision over implementation of legislation in the DIA of the Prosecutor General’s Office, and a senior adviser to justice.
During the investigative measures, the pseudo-employee of the PGO admitted that he used the false certificate mainly when the traffic police officers stopped his car.
A criminal case was initiated against the false employee of justice under Paragraph “b”, Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code (manufacture, forgery of documents, stamps, seals, letterheads, their sale or use). The defendant faces a sentence of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
