“A lot of people ask me, why do I need to take exams to re-obtain a lost driver’s license or coupon? This procedure was established by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, and I also think that there is no logic in this. I also don’t understand why this order is set. And, judging by the information I have, the proposal to abolish this rule has already been submitted for consideration,” he said.

According to the current legislation, a duplicate of the lost national driver’s license is issued after passing theoretical and practical exams, as well as checking against the database of driver’s licenses of persons deprived of the right to drive vehicles.

The exception is cases of loss as a result of theft, fire, natural disaster and similar reasons, confirmed by the documents of the authorized department.
