Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan sign several documents on cooperation; approve agreement on demarcation of state border

The parties signed documents aimed at strengthening strategic partnership and alliance relations.

Following the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan summit in Tashkent, a signing ceremony of bilateral documents was held.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev inked historical documents – the Agreement on the Establishment of Allied Relations and the Agreement on the Demarcation of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan State Border.

In addition, 15 documents aimed at further deepening multifaceted cooperation at the level of the governments, ministries and agencies of the two countries, and large companies were adopted.

Protocol on the establishment of the Center for International Industrial Cooperation "Central Asia", on collaboration in the field of environmental protection, agreements on cooperation in the field of higher education and post-higher education and other documents were signed.

Also, strategic reforms, development of e-commerce, memoranda in the fields of forestry, public service, "roadmaps" for expanding cooperation between Tashkent and Turkestan, Navoi and Kyzylorda, Jizzakh and Turkestan regions, implementation of projects in energy, chemical industry, transport and logistics transactions were approved.

During the visit, $8 billion worth of trade and investment agreements were inked.
