Interior Minister calls on people in Tashkent to ride more buses
Minister Pulat Bobojonov said that the number of private cars in the capital has increased, and as a result, it is impossible “to walk” because of traffic jams.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Pulat Bobojonov, visited Bus Fleet No. 8 in Yunusabad district, where he called on people to use public transport more in a conversation with public activists.
He said that private cars have increased in the capital, and traffic jams on the way to work in the morning and back in the evening have made it “completely impassable”.
“Look, now there are a lot of private cars. You can see the traffic jams from 08:00 to 10:00 in the morning, it’s impossible to walk at all on the way home from work in the evening. If people believe that they can go faster and safer if they use public transport instead of their private cars, these traffic jams will also decrease. That is, he goes not in his personal car, but in public transport, buses,” Pulat Bobojonov said.
It should be recalled that earlier Pulat Bobojonov and Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov went to bus fleet No. 8 located in the capital’s Yunusabad district and rode the bus together with residents to check the accessibility.
