Temporary moratorium on new construction to be announced in Tashkent
The President criticized the inaccurate calculation of the load on existing infrastructure when issuing building permits.
Unless there is a master plan in Tashkent, a moratorium on new construction will be announced. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting with representatives of the public and officials of the capital.
The head of state criticized the fact that when issuing construction permits, the load on the existing infrastructure was not accurately calculated, and in parallel with the construction work, no work was carried out to organize green areas.
Therefore, it was emphasized that a moratorium on new construction would be announced until the approval of the city’s master plan.
The task was set in 2023 to increase the level of landscaping in the city of Tashkent to 28%.
For this, a new park will be created on an area of 100 hectares. The project “Green Belt of Tashkent” has started, in the spring season 525 thousand trees and shrubs, 20 million flower seedlings will be planted.
