Citizens asked to contact Senate hotline numbers if they are forced to vote on Open Budget
The Commission for Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labor has begun to study the situation of coercion.
According to the Senate information service, the case of forced recruitment of employees to collect votes for the “Open Budget” is being investigated.
The “Open Budget” project was launched in order to actively involve the population in the formation of the State budget and the process of socio-economic development of the regions, as well as to expand public participation in solving local problems.
During the past short period, many positive things are being done at places under this project. Therefore, this process is becoming popular today. At the same time, social networks are widely discussing the involvement of some industry representatives in vote collection for the “Open Budget”.
In this regard, this issue is being thoroughly studied by the Commission for Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labor. Further information will be provided on the results, the report reads.
