"We declared Uzbekistan a social state. In our country, there are more than 2,200,000 families in need of social help and receiving assistance from the state. 55% of our population consists of young people.
In our updated Constitution, the social obligations of the state have been increased 3 times.
This might be easy to say, but putting it into practice takes a lot of work. It will be necessary to allocate an additional 30-40 trillion soums annually from the state budget," said the president.
He also noted that hundreds of new kindergartens, schools and hospitals should be built every year to satisfy the demand.
New opportunities will also be mobilized to raise youth policy, development of education, science, culture and sports to a higher level.
The scope of social services will be further extended to lonely elderly people, people with disabilities and those who need special attention.
Salaries, pensions, allowances and scholarships will be regularly increased.
