Direct flights to be launched from Georgia to Samarkand
Georgia will help Uzbekistan to construct ports and terminals on the Black Sea.
Transport Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Makhkamov held talks in Tbilisi with the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of transport and logistics cooperation between the two countries. In particular, the ministers exchanged views on increasing the number of flights and open new routes for air communication.
The Georgian side said they would help Uzbek entrepreneurs in the construction of ports and terminals on the Black Sea coast.
The parties agreed to increase the number of exchanges of permit forms for international transport.
It was announced at the meeting that soon direct flights would be launched from Georgia to Samarkand, but the date of the first flight was not specified.
