Prices for heat supply services change in Tashkent
By decision of the capital’s governor, new regulated prices for heat supply services provided by Veolia were approved. To prevent sharp increases in tariffs, investment costs are taken into account separately from the tariff structure.
The Tashkent city governor made a decision to approve new regulated prices for heat supply services provided by LLC PE Veolia Energy Tashkent. The decision approved new regulated prices for heat supply services provided by Veolia.
According to the decision, from December 1, 2023, regulated base prices for heat supply services provided by Veolia Energy Tashkent LLC GC will be at the level of 664,465 soums/Gcal without value added tax, while:
for the population – 91,960 soums/Gcal (no change);
for legal entities – 212,660 soums/Gcal (previously – 141,737 soums/Gcal);
for budgetary organizations – 801,963 soums/Gcal (previously – 502,067 Gcal).
It is noted that investment costs are taken into account separately from the tariff structure in order to prevent a sharp increase in tariffs for centralized heat supply for budgetary organizations and other legal entities. Also, payments to consumers were transferred to 1 square meter of heated area per day of the heating period.
It should be recalled that from July 1, 2022, the French company Veolia began working as the sole heat supply operator for the city of Tashkent on the basis of a public-private partnership. Currently, 90% of heat production in Tashkent is provided by the unitary enterprises “Tosh Elektromarkaz” and “Toshkent Elektromarkaz”, 10% is produced by Veolia itself, which supplies 100% of the heat to the population.
