Activities of a secret drug laboratory in Tashkent stopped
At a special event held by the State Security Service and the Customs Committee, a drug laboratory operating secretly in Tashkent was discovered, the agency’s press service reports.
Two persons with higher education, 36 and 38 years old, engaged in the production of synthetic drugs in one of the apartments in Shaykhantakhur district under the guise of logistics.
During the inspection, it was found that there are about 26 kilos of mephedrone in 56 packages, more than 400 kilos of liquid and powder chemicals used in the preparation of synthetic drugs, as well as raw materials and necessary equipment.
During the investigation before the investigation, it was revealed that the equipment, raw materials and precursors used in the preparation of narcotic drugs were brought from abroad, and the sale of prepared narcotic substances was carried out via the Internet.
It has been determined that the drugs amount to approximately 80,000 doses and have a black market value of 900,000 dollars. With the help of more than 400 kilos of chemicals and raw materials stored in the drug laboratory, it was known that about 50 kilos of synthetic drug mephedrone could be produced.
In connection with the situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 246 (Smuggling) and Article 273 (Illegal preparation, acquisition, storage and other actions for the purpose of transferring narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances, as well as their illegal transfer) of the Criminal Code.
Currently, preliminary investigation is being carried.
