On January 8, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the development and regulation of the field of renewable energy sources, the legal information channel of the Ministry of Justice reports.

It has been instructed to fully launch the Green Energy information system by the beginning of February. The system will be managed by the Ministry of Energy, while the Customs Committee will monitor the smooth operation and correctness of the entered information.

When importing devices for the use of renewable energy sources, as well as tools, materials, components and spare parts for them, it is allowed to pay customs duties and fees within 120 days after import without interest.

Additional benefits will be provided to importers who have been importing equipment for “green” generation for the last 3 years or more with timely fulfillment of obligations. They will be able to pay customs duties in installments of up to 6 months.

At the same time, control over the import of equipment is being tightened. Solar photo panels will join the list of products for which confirmation of compliance with technical regulations is required.

From March 1, it is prohibited to import solar panels whose labeling or accompanying documents do not indicate the quality class of photocells (A, B, C, D).

It was instructed to create a laboratory to assess the compliance of renewable energy devices with technical regulation requirements. Importers will be able to submit applications for certification to the Uzstandard Center for Scientific Testing and Quality Control through the “single window” customs system.
