Content of fine PM 2.5 particles in Tashkent’s air exceeds the norm significantly

Morning PM 2.5 readings are significantly lower than evening readings. So, on the evening of January 18, the content of these particles exceeded WHO recommendations by 22.8 times.

January 19, 2024, according to data from automatic atmospheric air monitoring stations at 08:00 in Tashkent:

•  the content of fine particles PM 10 was 67.5 μg/m3, which did not exceed the maximum permissible concentration according to SanPiN 0293-11 (500 μg/m3).
•  the content of fine PM2.5 particles was 55.8 μg/m3, which exceeded WHO recommendations by 11.1 times (5 μg/m3).
•  the content of carbon monoxide CO (emissions from vehicles and industrial enterprises) was 0.7 mg/m3, which did not exceed the maximum permissible concentration according to SanPiN 0293-11 (5 mg/m3).
