SSS arrested four women who tried to sell their children
The State Security Service (SSS) carried out rapid operations against human trafficking in various regions of the republic. During these operations, four women who tried to sell their children were apprehended.
It has been reported that in a mobile operation conducted in Gulistan city in cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office and the District Internal Affairs Department, a resident of Bukhara (woman) born in 1991, currently residing temporarily in Gulistan, was caught red-handed while selling her son born on January 30 this year for $40,000.
In an incident observed in the Surkhandarya region, a woman born in 1993 residing in the Termez district was arrested while selling her daughter born on January 25 this year for 25 million UZS.
In a rapid operation in Tashkent city, a resident of Chirchik city (woman), born in 1997, was detained while selling her son born in 2018 for $3,000.
Additionally, in Namangan city, a 29-year-old woman was taken into custody by the State Security Service and law enforcement officers while receiving $4,000 of the demanded $18,000 for her son born in 2014.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these individuals under Article 135 part 3 "a" (human trafficking) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway.
