Turin Polytechnic University student sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for stealing money from others’ bank cards
He, along with another Tashkent resident, created a special program that granted them access to others' bank cards.
A. Y., a student of the Turin Polytechnic University, and Sh. Sh., an entrepreneur from Tashkent, are facing charges for cyber fraud.
They created a malicious application named Agrobank Mobile, through which they gained unhindered use of other people's bank cards.
Using this method, they stole 47 million 235 thousand UZS from citizen A. N. and 45 million 225 thousand UZS from citizen O. J., which they later exchanged for cryptocurrency.
The court sentenced the crypto fraudsters to 5 years of imprisonment.
