Old aircraft with high fuel consumption to be sold, modern and economical aircraft to be purchased
Shavkat Mirziyoev got acquainted with the transformation of state-owned enterprises in the field of aviation.
According to the press service of the President, measures will be taken to reduce costs in the sector by 20 percent. Old aircraft with high fuel consumption will be sold and modern and economical aircraft will be brought in. Fuel consumption is significantly reduced by choosing the optimal flight route on 72 routes. Assets that are not being used and are not generating income are put up for sale.
Officials were tasked with approving a cost reduction program, increasing the competitiveness of services, and accelerating private partnership projects. It was emphasized that it is necessary to increase the additional services at the airports, to develop the technical maintenance of the aircraft at the Navoi Airport and to fully use its potential.
Attracting foreign qualified specialists to the state airlines, as well as issues of improving personnel training were also mentioned.
