PGO stopped “gray” sale of 11.6 tons of gasoline

The PGO Department for Combating Economic Crimes reported on violations in the circulation of gasoline in Tashkent and four regions of Uzbekistan since the beginning of the week.

Thus, in the capital, 13 citizens were identified who were involved in the illegal resale of AI-80, AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline at inflated prices. In total, 5.6 tons of gasoline in bottles and cans were seized as evidence.

Another seven fuel resellers were detained in the Akkurgan, Bekabad, Buka, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Chinaz, and Yangiyul districts of the Tashkent region. They found a total of 721 liters (515 kg) of gasoline.

In Karshi and other places in the Kashkadarya region, law enforcement officers found six “gray” gasoline dealers. Across the region, 624 liters (446 kg) of fuel intended for resale were seized.

The prosecutor's office discovered the largest illegal storage of petroleum products in Nukus. Local resident B.T. stored 4,140 liters (2.96 tons) of AI-80 gasoline in his house for “gray” resale.

In addition, in the Zarafshan district of the Navoi region, a citizen was detained who was transporting 2774 liters (~1.98 tons) of AI-80 in a tanker truck. According to law enforcement officers, he planned to resell the fuel at a premium in the neighboring Bukhara region.

From the reports it follows that over the past few days the prosecutor's office has stopped the illegal sale of 11.6 tons of gasoline.

In addition, Uzenergoinspektsiya and the Competition Committee announced the results of inspections at gas stations in Karakalpakstan. It covered seven gas stations: Rafs, Ruxshona Khamid, Suvinshoatgazqurilish, Imkon Khamkor, To'rtko'lli Bunyod Oil, Gulnora Gaz Servis and Ruslan.

Department employees purchased samples of AI-92 gasoline for laboratory analysis. During its course, it turned out that the actual octane number of the fuel did not reach 90, and the samples did not comply with the O'zDst 3031:2015 standard.

These gas stations sold more than 26 thousand liters of low-quality gasoline. The damage amounted to 277 million soums.
