All gas filling stations to reopen starting today
The compressor filling stations for vehicles across the country had been shut down since mid-February.
Starting today, all gas filling stations for vehicles across the country will reopen, following the restoration of normal gas pressure, the Ministry of Energy reported.
The methane filling stations had been closed since February 17 due to strong winds and snowstorms that caused malfunctions in the "L-Gazli-1" and "L-Gazli-2" high-voltage electric transmission lines in the Bukhara region. At that time, eight units at the "Gazli" compressor station and two units at the "Uchkir" compressor station, affiliated with the "Gazli" gas processing plant, had ceased operation due to the emergency.
Initially, methane filling stations were restricted to prioritize the supply of natural gas to residential households and social sector facilities due to the decreased gas pressure.
Following the resolution of the emergency situation, it was announced that the gas units would start operating at full capacity and the methane filling stations would be gradually reopened based on a set schedule (daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM).
On February 22, the Ministry reported the start of the phased lifting of restrictions imposed on the operation of methane filling stations, in coordination with local authorities, based on the predetermined schedule. However, such restrictions remained in place until March 6.
