Uzbekistan and France bolster inter-parliamentary cooperation
On March 6, the delegation of Uzbekistan in Paris, led by the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Akmal Saidov, conducted meetings in both the Senate and the National Assembly of France.
During the talks with the senators headed by Hervé Maurey, the leader of the inter-parliamentary group "France – Central Asia," and members of the National Assembly led by Nathalie Ser, leader of the inter-parliamentary group "France – Central Asia," topics related to the further development and deepening of Uzbek-French inter-parliamentary relations were discussed.
The parties also considered reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, legislation and the rule of law, and bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
It was particularly emphasized that inter-parliamentary cooperation significantly contributes to the further development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and France.
French parliamentarians expressed readiness to work together actively for the implementation of agreements reached by the heads of both states during high-level meetings in the years 2022 and 2023.
