Earlier, a video circulated on social networks in which the water in the Karamysh canal acquired a new color.

The Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change in Tashkent commented on this incident.

It turned out that construction material (liquid putty) was dumped into the Karakamysh canal.

Environmentalists have identified the citizen who committed this offense.

For unauthorized dumping of construction materials into the Karakamysh canal, a state inspector drew up an administrative protocol against the offender under Article 91 of the Administrative Responsibility Code and imposed a fine in the amount of 10 BCAs (3.4 million soums).

It is noted that samples were taken from the contaminated canal for analysis for an environmental laboratory.

“Based on the results of laboratory research, the damage caused to nature will be determined, which will then be recovered,” the environmentalists said in a statement.
