In the local market, the Chinese automaker will introduce popular models, including the Zeekr 001 electric sports car.
By the end of 2023, Geely wanted to launch sales of its entire model range in Uzbekistan. It includes the Coolray and Tugella crossovers, the Monjaro and Okavango SUVs, the Emgrand sedan and the Geometry E electric crossover.
Last December, it became known that Geely could launch production of electric vehicles in the Tashkent region in 2024. At the first stage it is planned to build an assembly shop, and at the second – to organize production.
For information, Zeekr was founded in 2021 as a premium division of Geely Automobile, specializing in the production of electric vehicles. The Zeekr 001 electric car, introduced in April of the same year, became the first model of the Chinese company. Zeekr and Geely Automobile Holdings Limited are part of the diversified Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.
