Kokand airport to resume its operations from April 1
Reconstruction of the Kokand airport in Fergana region has been completed.
On the morning of March 20, the airport received the first technical flight – the crew of the Uzbekistan Airways A320 NEO aircraft landed at the Kokand airport.
The runway at the regional airport was extended to 2000 meters and the apron with two parking spaces for A320 and ATR72-600 aircraft was reconstructed.
Also, a new passenger terminal with an area of 900 square meters for 100 people was built at the airport.
The technical flight carried out by the pilots of Uzbekistan Airways en route Tashkent – Kokand showed that the airport is fully ready to receive and send aircraft, and the terminal is ready to receive and serve passengers.
It is planned to start regular flights from April 1, 2024.
