Vehicle registration in Uzbekistan becomes 68 times more expensive
From April 1, the fee for the state registration of vehicles is increasing. For electric vehicles, the fee is being raised by 15 times.
The fee rates for the state registration and re-registration of motor vehicles and their trailers (semi-trailers) in Uzbekistan have been confirmed to increase. This is according to the order from the Minister of Internal Affairs, Pulat Bobojonov, dated March 31.
It is noted that from April 1, the fees for the registration and re-registration of electric vehicles, motorcycles, and vehicle trailers will increase by 15 times (to 1.5 times the BCU), i.e., up to 510,000 UZS. For all other vehicles, the rate will increase by 68.4 times (to 6.84 BCA), up to 2.32 million UZS.
For reference, previously, the rate for the registration and re-registration of motor vehicles and their trailers (semi-trailers) was 10 percent of the BCU — 34,000 UZS.
