Angren DIA officer detained for drug trafficking
Preliminary investigations showed that the criminal investigation officer was storing drugs for the purpose of selling. A criminal case has been opened on this fact, the suspect and his accomplice have been taken into custody.
According to a Kun.uz source, on March 3, 2024, employees of the DIA Internal Security Department held the “Drug-24” action in the city of Angren.
During an inspection of the Cobalt car driven by R.Yu., a substance similar to a drug was discovered, which was contained in 4 paper wrappers.
The conclusion of a forensic chemical examination carried out on April 4, 2024 established that this substance is hashish.
A preliminary investigation showed that the officer stored drugs for sale together with his accomplice, citizen Sh.J.
On this fact in relation to R.Yu. and Sh.J., the prosecutor’s office of the city of Angren opened a criminal case under paragraph “b”, Part 3 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code. A preventive measure in the form of detention was applied against the officer and his accomplice.
For reference, committing a crime under paragraph “b”, Part 3 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (Illegal production, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale, as well as their sale) is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 7 to 10 years.
