Corpse of third drowned man found in Burijar canal, he turned out to be a Chinese citizen
It turned out that the woman and her 5-year-old child who drowned in the Burijar canal in Tashkent are Russian citizens, and the third drowned man is a middle-aged Chinese man.
On April 10, it was reported that three people drowned to death in the Burijar canal, which flows through the Chilanzar district.
According to Kun.uz correspondent, the two victims are a mother and a child (the initial report said they were not related). The third victim, whose body was found later, is the man who attempted to save them.
A source familiar with the details of the incident reported that a 5-year-old boy accidentally fell into the water while playing on the bank of a canal. Seeing this, the woman jumped into the water to save him and also drowned, unable to cope with the strong current. Another person who witnessed this tried to save them, jumped into the water and drowned.
The drowned 35-year-old woman and 5-year-old child were Russian citizens. The third victim was a middle-aged Chinese citizen.
All three bodies have now been dragged out of the water.
According to the head of the PGO press service, Khayot Shamsutdinov, a pre-investigation check is being conducted on this fact.
