Over 50 people poisoned at a wedding in Bukhara region

On the night of April 13 (between 22:00 and 03:00) 16 people, including 4 children, came to the central hospital of the Bukhara region with complaints of abdominal pain, vomiting and weakness.

All doctors working here, as well as specialists from the regional infectious diseases hospital, were urgently brought to the hospital.

All patients were diagnosed with “acute diarrhea, gastric and gastroenteric form, moderate severity; food poisoning” and infusion therapy was started.

37 people, including 9 children, applied to the medical association of the neighboring Vobkent district with the same complaints. They were diagnosed with a similar symptom.

As of 09:00 on April 13, 43 people were discharged from medical institutions due to satisfactory health conditions: 11 in the Bukhara district and 32 in the Vobkent district. During the day it was planned to send the others home.

Medical workers are monitoring the condition of all patients.

The regional health department urged citizens to pay attention to the quality of the food they consume.
