Environmental control of vehicles being carried out across the republic
In order to ensure implementation of the laws “On atmospheric air protection” and “On environmental control”, the “Clean air” month is held in 2 stages. The first stage lasts from April 10 to May 10, the second stage – from August 10 to September 10 (in the city of Tashkent from September 10 to October 10).
The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has launched the first stage of the “Clean air” month throughout the republic.
During the event, at road patrol posts in all regions of our republic, on the central streets of districts and cities, the amount of harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere by vehicles running on gasoline, diesel fuel, natural compressed and liquefied gas will be checked using special equipment.
Drivers of vehicles found to be environmentally faulty will be prohibited from operating the vehicle until the fault is corrected.
It should be recalled: the “Clean air” month is held on an ongoing basis in order to prevent excessive harmful emissions from technical equipment into the atmosphere. In particular, in 2023, 318,556 vehicles passed environmental control and the emission of 209,232 tons of pollutants into the atmosphere was prevented.
