Four people injured while falling from an attraction in Surkhandarya
Four people were injured when they fell from an attraction in “Bolajon” Park in Surkhandarya on April 16, the press service of the State Committee for Industrial Safety reported. The photographs show that the seats were separated from the moving part of the attraction.
The PGO press secretary Khayot Shamsutdinov told Gazeta.uz that among the victims were two residents of Termez – 15-year-old Sh. S. and 27-year-old Z. O., as well as two citizens of Kazakhstan – 29-year-old O.K. with 11-year-old daughter A.B.
All victims were hospitalized with various injuries to the Surkhandarya branch of the Republican Research Center for Emergency Medicine.
The park, located on Khakim At-Termiziy street in the Tuprokkurgon mahalla, belongs to the Termiz avenue park company.
Employees of the Inspectorate for Control of Mining, Geological and Industrial Safety conducted an inspection and identified the following violations:
• the attraction did not pass full technical certification tests before the season;
• the person responsible for preparing the attraction and submitting it for technical inspection was not appointed;
• no document was issued indicating that the attraction was ready for the season.
The Termez city DIA is conducting pre-investigation actions regarding the incident.
