Uzbekistan airports served more than 3.1 million passengers in Q1
Compared to the same period last year, the increase was 42%.
In the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year, airports in Uzbekistan show an increase of almost half in terms of key indicators – passenger traffic, number of flights served and cargo volume, according to the Uzbekistan Airports report.
According to the organization, in the first three months of this year, the republic’s international airports handled 25,360 flights, of which 8,022 were on domestic routes and 17,338 on international routes.
The increase compared to last year was 40%.
At the same time, of the total number of air flights, 16,597 flights were carried out by resident airlines and 8,763 flights by non-resident airlines.
From January to March inclusive, Uzbekistan airports served 3,130,386 passengers. Including 762,435 passengers on domestic flights and 2,367,951 on international flights. The increase compared to the same period last year was 42%.
It is also reported that 17,126 tons of cargo and mail were handled in the first quarter of 2024, which is 6% higher than last year.
