Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives in Moscow
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a business visit to Moscow on May 8.
At the Vnukovo International Airport, the head of state was met by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation – Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and other officials.
According to the program of the visit, the President of Uzbekistan will participate in the anniversary meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the solemn events dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War, as well as hold bilateral meetings.
According to the Kremlin, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leaders of the following countries will also participate in the parade: Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus), Kassym-Jomart Tokayev (Kazakhstan), Sadyr Japarov (Kyrgyzstan), Imomali Rahmon (Tajikistan), Serdar Berdimuhamedow (Turkmenistan), Miguel Díaz-Canel y Bermúdez (Cuba), Thongloun Sisoulith (Laos) and Umaro Sissoco Embaló (Guinea-Bissau).
The presidents are expected to participate in the ceremony of laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier together with Vladimir Putin.
