Mongolia’s president to pay a state visit to Uzbekistan
Political consultations took place in Ulaanbaatar between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Mongolia. The parties discussed the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation, as well as the upcoming state visit of the President of Mongolia to Uzbekistan this summer.
President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh plans to make a state visit to Uzbekistan in June of this year.
The next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries took place in Ulaanbaatar, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Amartuvshin Gombosuren.
“During the negotiations, the state and prospects for further development of Uzbek-Mongolian cooperation were discussed. Particular attention was paid to accelerating the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, as well as the state visit of the President of Mongolia to Uzbekistan in June of this year,” the report reads.
The meeting confirmed mutual interest in realizing the existing significant potential for strengthening partnerships in the political, trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
In addition, proposals to increase cultural-humanitarian and tourist exchanges were considered.
